There are those of you who do not live on a lake. In fact, the majority of people in this great country of ours do not live on a lake. Some of you however, have the joy of living on or near a river. If that is the case, we have a wooden map technique we can use to create a wooden map for you. In the example above, (the Nemadji River in WI) we not only show the river bed and it's changes in elevation, but we depict the topography of the surrounding land in layers of wood as well. The boundaries for this piece were local roads and highways, but they can be whatever best designates the area where you live or where your cottage or cabin is.

     Remember, that while many of our example pictures show our wooden pieces of art in the great outdoors, this is only for the natural lighting effect of sunshine. These pieces of art are for inside display ONLY.
